THALAMUS adapts, evolves and tackles new terrain

The THALAMUS autonomous security robot enters a new phase. A redesigned version is now available, designed to offer greater consistency, robustness and, above all, adaptability to demanding environments.

The first visible change is a revised design with a new sandy hue, ideal for sunny or dusty areas. But the real changes are inside.

THALAMUS still uses Axis cameras, but now fully integrates their VMS (video management software), for a unified video chain and simplified software operation.

Also, the robot’s control interface is now more intuitive, simplifying handling without sacrificing responsiveness. In the field, every second counts, and so does every click.

For extreme environments, the ventilation system, now integrated by default, includes three levels of progressively graded filters (3M filters), to effectively protect components against sand and fine particles. A tropicalization option is also available: a protective coating is applied to all printed circuit boards, to enhance their resistance to corrosion, humidity and tropical conditions.

In terms of connectivity, this new version offers an expanded range of communication systems: satellite, mesh network, WiMax (a long-range “super WiFi”), 4G or conventional WiFi for proximity maintenance. Depending on requirements, the THALAMUS can be configured with the appropriate modules to guarantee smooth transmission, even in isolated areas.

Now that field tests have been completed, the first units are available to order.
