Our THALAMUS autonomous security robot made its debut on the American continent at a memorable event in Argentina. Invited to a conference on the most innovative security technologies of the moment, Glocal Robotics presented the strengths and benefits of the machine.
Held in the heart of Buenos Aires, in the halls of the magnificent MALBA Museum (Buenos Aires Museum of Latin American Art), the event brought together over 200 participants from the worlds of technology, security and industry. This emblematic venue, dedicated to the continent’s contemporary creativity, provided a symbolic setting for the encounter between technological innovation and societal issues. A rare opportunity to discover a coherent panorama of intelligent solutions, designed for the most complex contexts.

The initiative is supported by Securion, a major Argentine player in private security for over 30 years, with more than 12,000 employees in the field. Committed to innovation, the company, which has been developing services integrating AI, IoT and robotics for several years, founded the IH Tech Labs center in 2024, its technology division dedicated to the design and integration of disruptive security solutions. The company aims to transform private security with intelligent systems geared towards risk anticipation.
Together, they have imagined an “intelligent security ecosystem” combining robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and rapid reaction capabilities. Their approach is clear: identify, select and integrate the best technologies available worldwide, in three dimensions: sea, air and land.
For naval operations, they chose the American SeaSats, whose autonomous craft, powered mainly by solar energy, are capable of patrolling for up to six months without human intervention. Deployed worldwide, they are used by government agencies, research centers and the US armed forces.
For aerial operations, they have selected Sunflower Labs, the Swiss company behind a fully autonomous drone, combined with a launch and recharging station called “Hive”. This intelligent system offers automated aerial patrols, capable of triggering themselves when detected by an external sensor or on command by an agent.
And for ground missions, the THALAMUS has been integrated into the ecosystem. Designed for sensitive environments, it combines autonomy, robustness and modularity.
Alongside these three main areas, other complementary solutions were presented. These included new-generation Plix bodycams, with real-time analysis of human interactions to detect suspicious or potentially violent behavior, geolocation and live transmission.
Together, they form a technological chain designed to enhance security without overburdening human systems.
It was against this backdrop that Renato Cudicio, President of Glocal Robotics, was invited to present the THALAMUS to an audience of decision-makers, researchers and experts. The occasion provided an opportunity to review the technical specifics of the new tropicalized version of the robot, designed for hot, dusty and humid climates. A clear endorsement of the THALAMUS’s suitability for Latin American markets.
Beyond its visibility, this participation underlines Glocal Robotics’ growing positioning on the American continent and its willingness to join forces with local partners committed to concrete, technological approaches to safety.
